Creating a Page Curl in Photoshop
I have a great tutorial for you here on creating a good looking page curl using Photoshop. I think it looks especially good if you use a black and white photo to start with.
This is one of my favorite things to use when doing web design, or a brochure design. You can also take it a step further by putting a tack or piece of tape at the top of the image.
To see an example of a page curl in a website design, check out www.adp.ca/en/resource/why_outsource.html
Now for the tutorial. Start of with the picture of your choice, then follow these steps.

Step 1 - Select a square in the corner of your photo. (Using the Rectangular Marquee, click and drag while holding ’shift’)

Step 2 - Use the Transform>Warp tool and drag the corner into the photo a little bit. Use your judgement to make it look nice.

Step 3 - Using the Pen tool, trace a shape around the page curl. At this time, you can fine tune the shape of your page curl to make it look a little better.

Step 4 - Now go into the blending options for your shape layer and create a Gradient Overlay like I have done here.

Step 5 - While still in your blending options, create a Drop Shadow and adjust the angle and other specs to your preference. Incase you can’t read the image very well, my Opacity is 56, Angle is 132, Distance is 0, Spread is 7 and Size is 16.

Step 6 - Here is your final result, note that there is about a pixel of white on the very edges where the image meets the border. I highly recommend that you crop in the image at least 2 pixels to give it more of a professional finish.
