I’m just writing today to tell you about this new FREE vectors site I found. The name is Qvectors, the Q standing for quality.
I think the site is pretty new, because I’ve never seen it before, and the site wasn’t extremely full of content. They only have seven categories, and each has 1 - 3 pages. I can’t wait to see this site expand, and plan on checking back frequently.

The talented illustrator names Julie West has a style all her own! She has a huge portfolio with some big-name clients, and even a shop where you can purchase prints, toys and clothing. Check it out
When looking at her work, you can see all the underlying sketching and thought that has gone into each piece. I think more of us need to pick up a pencil once in a while, instead of a computer mouse.

I have finally been able to create a relatively seamless bulletin board pattern to use with Photoshop, so I wanted to share it with everyone. I will have a website coming out soon that uses it, so I’ll let you know when its up. But for now, enjoy this free pattern.
To use this pattern in Photoshop, open the image up in Photoshop and go to Edit > Define Pattern. From there, it will be available in your patterns palette.

My nerdy Graphic Designer-ness is now evident to everyone that I work with, with the exciting arrival of my new coffee mug. The glorious Kerning/Keming mug from Cafepress!
The full saying reads “keming. (kem’-ing). n. The result of improper kerning.”
Brilliant…

I have just recently discovered the fantastic world of Coda. If you frequently check the CSS galleries then you will be familiar with the Panic Coda website. It is amazingly well-designed, and has been featured on almost all of the galleries out there.
The program Coda, that Panic has developed is an amazing all-in-one web development tool. You only need one program open to do everything.

When you spend 10 hours a day on the computer as most graphic designers do, you think you’ve seen just about everything on the internet. Yet somehow, I missed this one.
I want to tell you about an entertaining website called Photoshop Disasters. The title says it all. The entire site is filled with user submitted examples of poorly done Photoshop work. It is amazing how some of these pieces have slipped through the cracks and gotten published.

I just learned a genius trick online today, after fearing the worst for my poor (BRAND NEW) Macbook Pro.
I was playing around trying to install the old operating system so I could run a program I needed, and the computer just got stuck in a loop, continuously re-starting itself. I guess it didn’t like the fact that it was an old disc or something. But I couldn’t get it to stop, and I couldn’t retrieve the disc.
